Landscapes of Sound

Landscapes of Sound is an ongoing exploration of translating sound into visual form. Inspired by arrangement of pieces of music, each interprets music through an intuitive visual language. The question was, how can sound, something intangible with constant movement be translated into a visual experience?

Exercising intuition as a creative tool allowed audio to guide the visual direction rather than beginning with a predetermined system. The process became intentionally organic, giving space for experimentation, instinct, and unexpected outcomes. The intention was to conceptualize and craft each interpretation, using process as a way to channel creative exploration to unveil a expressive side of design.

In return, the work presented unexpected outcomes, allowing fluidly between the structure of a grid and the freedom of pure expression: balancing design systems with feeling, movement, and intuition.
